The Alcohol Drug Abuse Prevention Team (ADAPT) works to educate the community, with a special focus on youth, on the dangers of underage drinking, addresses drug abuse issues and encourages a smoke free Branson.  Major initiatives include the After Prom event, provides Retail Beverage Training as well as Prescription Drug Take Back events.  ADAPT was recently awarded a Drug Free Communities Grant to build capacity within the ADAPT coalition, to hire a coordinator and to work in the schools to educate about and prevent substance abuse. The Tri-Lakes Clean Air Alliance (TLCAA) is funded through a grant provided by Missouri Foundation for Health. TLCAA is a partnership between Cox Branson, the Taney and Stone County Health Departments, the American Lung Association and a group of dedicated volunteers. This alliance focuses on providing affordable tobacco cessation services across both counties and working towards a clean air ordinance in Branson.
